Live Feed: Treaty signing Turkey - Armenia
Turkey and Armenia will re-establish their diplomatic relationship after almost 100 years. The respective protocols were signed in Zurich on October 10th 2009. Among the dignitaries were the French and Russian foreign ministers, federal Counsellor Micheline Calmy-Rey and the EU High Representative for Common Foreign and Security Policy, Javier Solana, US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who also took part at the ceremony held for the signing of the protocols. Switzerland, officiating as mediator for the last two years in the rapprochement process between the two parties, was chosen as location for the ceremony.
